a birth doula
I am a forty-something mom living in Bells Corners, who has a passion for helping others. I was a nanny for many years and loved all the kids in my care. I moved into other work so I could spend more time with my wife, my daughter and my step-daughter. There is so much to do in this world and I love doing it with them.
One of my passions is baking, obviously, and I love to feed people good things that make them happy. My mom taught me and lit the fire under me which has continued throughout my life. I may or may not come with these yummy treats to my appointments...
I am a trained doula and love seeing the transition of person into parent. I am supportive, kind and full of jokes to break up the seriousness of both teaching and the delivery room. I will help you advocate for yourself and help make it through labour so you can enjoy the end result of your new beautiful baby.
I also have experience in pregnancy and child loss so I'm able help clients through that worse case scenario as well. I know that that is the last thing you want to think about when you are looking for someone to help you bring your baby into the world but those families need me too.
I love meeting new people, thanks to growing up while travelling around the world, and making connections with all my clients so we go into labour with trust and plans for all scenarios. I'm always learning new things and love bringing all that information into my teachings and in the delivery room.
